Ormonde

Did the Taylors really know what they were getting into when buying a tired old Victorian family home in need of some serious TLC?

As found, September 2006

In September 2006, the Taylors bought a redbrick Edwardian semi in need of a great deal of work, and started keeping a photographic record of every room as it was stripped out, rewired, replastered and rebuilt.

What follows is that record: six months of it, from the first walk through the rooms exactly as the previous owners left them, to bare floorboards, scaffolding, new brickwork and a half-fitted kitchen by the following February.
